Damn, this was good! Scary good! As in, all that claustrophic darkness and those dying birds were really creeping me out, and then it got SO SAD and I thought I must've missed the "death fic" warning in my eagerness to read a new work by my favorite fanfic writer (not that I minded...) and then you saved them after all, so thank you for that!
