This was worlds better than what Show gave us, this makes sense. Dean’s really struggling here and just barely keeping his nose above water. There’s no happy little backyard bbqs here, no Ben and Dean bonding over car repairs and ice tea. This is a sad, gritty reality, his pain bulldozing over a saint of a woman who tried way longer than she should have.

Dean waking up and thinking he’s in heaven because Sam’s there still makes my heart skip a beat.
