This was so WONDERFUL!! I love outsider POV with a passion, and this character was just so simpatico! Watching things happen to the boys that we know about, but she doesn't was so interesting, and seeing her grow more and more fond of them was just heartwarming. I loved that she accepted them fully, and I wondered a bit about her own background (Garland and all). See that, you young whippersnappers out there--never think that your old granny never had an interesting life that had nothing to do with rising kids and washing dishes, lol! She just might curl your wig with tales of her past--ha!
