It was so wonderful seeing Dean and his Sammy actually touching each other. It's the first time in too-damn-long that they seem to be connecting again. I soaked it up like a sponge. I want them to act like the soul-mates they're supposed to be. After all, it IS canon. Right? Great episode. It gives me hope. And I'm a cock-eyed optimist.

Lol, having just finished that fic (it was truly awesome and full of much needed squee!!! by the way ^_^ I love me some touchy-feely, cuddly boys!!!) I was thinking exactly the same thing after tonight's episode. So much hand-holding, and needing a pyshcial anchor in reality!!!!!!!! (*^_^*) I am also really enjoying Mark Pellegrino's encore as Sam's imaginary "friend", it makes me giggle.

I loved Dean's phone call to Bobby. Poor Dean is fragmenting almost as much as Sam. In a way he's had it coming for a long time, because he wasn't ever really allowed to express his own PTSD after hell. Poor broken boys! They need to turn to each other for comfort... right now.

And as an aside, isn't Mark Pellegrino awesome?

Ohgod, Dean can break my heart when I'm not prepared for it, into a million pieces. When he gave the 'strap in my beautiful mind brother...' I actually sobbed. And yes, Mark is AMAZING!

The phone call was great. Bobby used good psychology to prepare Dean to ask for help. If you tell someone enough times to come to you, maybe that's the voice they'll hear days or months later when they run out of places to run. Of course, disappearing after a suspicious fire incinerates your last known location is helpful too.

I wrote this elsewhere but, oh my god, sweetie, when Sam looked up at Dean with tears in his eyes as he admitted he was still seeing Luci, my heart broke. All I could hear in my head was him crying out, Dean, fix me, please!

I was scared to death for all of them through the whole episode. All the rules are changed, literally, who can they trust now?

Bobby is hiding, I refuse to believe otherwise. And, as long as we don't have a body, Cas is not dead. That was the other thing that broke me, Dean carrying his coat away tucked in his arms.

This episode left me breathless.

I loved the three way scene from Creepy!NotDean till the three-way nightmare was finally (temporarily) resolved by Dean's pleading and Sam's desperate need to know that one of his Deans was HIS. I couldn't take my eyes off any of them. Best scene in ages.

I think the reason I'm enjoying this season so much is that it seems to be driven more by external (to the boys) conflict than internal. Other than the bits that are in Sam's head, obviously ... But I think my point is that they're *together* in a way they haven't been in quite a while. Working together and trusting each other, even if they're not exactly always confiding in each other (that's not the patented Winchester way, you know?).
