Slightly related, I've read the Year of Letting Go (several times!) and I love it to pieces. The outsider pov's were wonderfully written and they all had character and developed personalities in a way OC's often don't in fanfic, if that makes any sense. And I loved the way Sam cared for Dean and poor Dean and his insecurities (quick, Sam can hug him for me). Not to mention the end -- my reaction to was basically :D!!!! Ahem. SHUTTING UP NOW. *g*
