Summary:  John Winchester likes to say that his son Sam is the epitome of an Alpha, a chip off the old block. Oh, noooooo, runedgirl, this cannot be it!!!!
I want so much more!!!! The story has soo much more wonderful and exciting places to go!!!!
I was really hoping for a proper alpha display from Sam! Particularly standing up to John in person.
Now that the brothers are together and Sam will join the resistance it would be great to get a glimpse into what that means.
And, for sure, I want to read about how Sam and Dean manage (or not) to redefine the relationship from supplier/client to lovers and brothers! That would be fascinating to explore.

I am really hoping that you may feel inspired to dive further into this story! I would LOVE to read it!!

But even if this was it....THANKS for the enticing, hot and sweet narrative we did get to enjoy!!!!

Hey there. Posting anonymously here, but I'm 36and40 on AO3.

This was my first time reading a story in this genre/world, so I really appreciated the set-up at the start! The rules were pretty clear and that made the whole thing make more sense. At first, I thought I liked how quickly it moved along, but after thinking about it for a few days, I feel a bit cheated! You set up a great world and there should be MORE. There should definitely be a part 2 where they navigate this new relationship, Sam joins the resistance and what's THAT like for an alpha?...there should be some super-painful confrontation with John at some point. Just more more more! You set up interesting characters and an interesting situation and then only scratched the surface.

Now, I loved your Sam. He was very "Sam" even in this world. Thoughtful, caring, very aware of everything around him. I liked this version of Dean too. VERY intuitive when it came to people (he'd have to be in that line of work), a realist (love that he's not wallowing in self-pity in spite of his hard life) and just crazy attracted to Sam. In this world; that part was fun; seeing them trying to do the right thing...Sam holding back and Dean trying to stick to his own "rules" until it all flew out the window. Yup, even rather weird man/dog sex was hot. Quite hot. I tend to like anything where there's an undeniable...slightly-hard-for -the-characters-to-understand intense attraction and this had tons of that.

I also kind of like it when John's a complete asshole, but even there you give us something of a convoluted reason why. Doesn't excuse his behavior at all, but it hints that this could be even more in-depth.

The whole "kicking the omega out of the house" thing instantly read to me as "family rejects gay son afraid it will 'rub off' on the other child"...don't know if you meant it that way, but that was extremely sad to me since it instantly read that way to me.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I didn't think I'd like this genre and the fact that I do like this story quite a bit makes me feel strongly that it merits more attention and more exploration of the characters (PART TWO!!!).

I don't really even Livejournal - this is the first (may possibly end up being the only) thing I've done with this Livejournal account - but I need to comment on this and tell you how awesome it is and thank you for writing it (and I've told her but I'm happy to again congratulate Blindswandive on her beautiful artwork)!

I love A/B/O stories that do things differently, which you've done wonderfully well here! Love both Sam's and Dean's characterization and their thoughts on the society they live in (which, my god, horrifying because it's not all that unfamiliar). There's a huge part of me that wants to see Sam make John pay for what he did to Dean. And all of me is unanimous in wishing to see what happens after the events of this story, to see Sam join the resistance, to see what becomes of our boys. Oh and, less dignified but THE SMUT IN THIS UNFFFF so damn hot *fans self furiously*

Thank you once again for giving us this story and I pray to see a sequel someday!!
